The Gaudí Research Institute recently hosted Cai Guo-Qiang, China’s most internationally renowned contemporary artist. Cai has received numerous awards, including the Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale, and has exhibited at major museums such as MoMA. He also served as visual director for the opening ceremonies of the Beijing Olympic Games. The artist currently resides in New York.
